Eucharistic ministers,
now called "Extraordinary Ministers of Communion," help
pass out the body and blood of Jesus during mass.
They also take communion to the homebound and sick of
the parish.

A training session is necessary
and will last about 2 hours. Three members participate in each
Mass once or twice a month.

What Eucharistic Ministers Do
|
|
The Eucharistic
ministry has a love of the true presence of Christ
in the Eucharist and a strong desire to bring Him to
the faithful of the parish.
They assist the
priest during the Mass with the distribution of Holy
Communion and Precious Blood to the congregation and
also to take Holy Communion to the homebound members
of the parish.
Eucharistic ministers
should have access to a car. One Eucharistic
Minister takes Holy Communion to 2 to 5 homebound
parishioners after each Mass.
