The Ladies Auxiliary, founded in
1913, is one of the largest and longest-standing organizations
of the parish.
It is a "rock
solid" organization. Over the years the
auxiliary has contributed financially to help
pay for ceiling fans in the church, curtains for
the auditorium, items for the kitchen and many
other things too numerous to mention here. They
also assist in the social aspects of parish
celebrations such as First Communions,
Confirmations and Memorial Masses to name just a
few.
Women engage in a number of important activities for
about 2-3 hours a month, including socials, fundraisers, prayer meetings
and many others.
This is a great place to make new and long-term friends.
In recent months, the Ladies Auxiliary has worked to build
membership, especially among the younger women of the parish,
and they continue to have great success with this. |
