Youth

Sacred Heart youth group members have fun while learning lessons about God and life.

Programs, Events & Activities

Members participate in a wide range of activities, including Bible study, games, pizza, fundraising, baby sitting and many other fun things.

The focus is on:

  • Fun activities, games and challenges.

  • Discussions about ourselves; God and His Son, Jesus, and the ways in which these are all entwined.

  • Fundraising events to support our many activities.

  • Volunteer efforts to contribute to this society in which we live.

The Sacred Heart youth group members have written Christmas cards to be sent to the soldiers overseas. They have gone on outings at the Island Sports Area and participated in the Lovewalk. (All students and their families are welcome to join in this activity.)

Some topics that youth members have already discussed include: "the ways in which we carry our crosses," "our faith, and the c4allenges we face" and "handling critics."

A babysitting service (with adult supervision) for children attending the "Happy Birthday Jesus party" was a fundraising event offered by members.

Here's an example of one of the exercises used in a recent youth group:
